Is there any reason why the fans on the back of my imac 2020 are so loud when I watch appleTV? I tried doing apple diagnostics and found nothing, also resetting SMC and didn't help, the loud sound is usually there while watching appleTV on this imac and the revolutions per minute go crazy!!

If you hear the fans start while you are doing tasks, you might want to check that the vents aren't blocked on the Mac. It isn't abnormal to hear the fans start spinning quickly when working on intensive tasks to keep the internals cool and within acceptable operating temperatures. Thanks for keeping us updated on this. You mentioned that you have reset the SMC and the issue continued? Were the steps you followed to reset the SMC the same as the steps listed here?

The vents aren't blocked, I only have AppleTV+ opened and now Safari. The fans are spinning very quickly and obviously these two tasks are not intensive; therefore something is abnormal on this system. We tried to reinstall BigMacSur 11.5; creating a new user, also safe boot, but any of those helped as the fans are still going mad.

Thank you again! Yes, I contacted Apple Support and they asked me to reset the SMC, we did the exact steps listed on your link provided but didn't help much as the problem persists. Next step is to bring my iMac to the reparation center.
