iPhone XS water damage what can I do?

My phone fell in the sink for only a second but now it just gives me logo loops, it will sometimes work for a minute or so but then it just shuts right off and keeps looping. I think it happened because they didn’t seal it properly when I sent it in to get the screen fixed. But now my warranty and apple care ran out so I don’t know what to do. I don’t think being wet for a second should have damaged it to the point of not being usable when it is supposed to be water resistant so that’s why I think it’s because they didn’t seal it properly when they repaired it. I spent more than $2000 on that phone from my injury settlement and since I am disabled I will probably never be able to afford something like that again I really think Apple should do something but I can’t even contact them, I don’t have a phone that is working so I can’t call and the customer service options won’t let me just contact them without organizing a repair..

The screen also broke falling two feet off the coffee table and I’m pretty sure having to repair it is why it got so damaged by this and it’s rated for falls up to six feet so yeah flimsy. Anyways I’m allowed to not buy an overpriced device I can’t afford. I’m not wasting any more money on Apple my last device the battery just stopped working for no reason I never broke the screen or anything else. I am just not doing it again.

my last response was more in response to the comment you had responded too I just didn’t see that comment. But I did make that point to the customer service guy and he just said there was nothing he could do. I really do think it was because of the repair I just think they should have given me a better price for the repair because of that. When you pay that much for something you just expect them to do a little better... so I’m going to buy phones that when they break, I can reasonably replace without saving for too long

Anyways I don’t want to keep arguing about weather I should spend some imaginary thousand dollars I don’t have to fix this phone or buy a new one so I’m really not sure what the point of this is. I have said a few different ways now to Apple that I think the damage is because they didn’t repair it properly and who knows maybe they will eventually do something but my hopes are not high. I’m just going to try to calm down and stop thinking about this whole ordeal for a while.
