iOS Backup

I always back up my iPhone and iPad. I never check the "Encrypt Local BackUp". It's just one more password I don't want to remember.

My old MacBook Pro has dozens of backups and my new MacBook only has one iPhone backup from my 11 Max.

I backed up my 11Pro to my new MBP. Went to the store to upgrade to the 12Pro Max. Came back home to restore my backup to the new iPhone.

I get prompted for a password!!! Again, I NEVER select to encrypt my backup. So now i'm here a few hours to travel out of the country and stuck without being able to restore my new iPhone.

I check out KeyChain Acces... the backup is not there. So that is just more proof of I don't select additional boxes to encrypt nor to save password to keychain.

So my backup is locked and i'm without recent files i need for my trip.

I go to my old MBP to check out back ups from 6 months ago.... sure enough, it asks me for a password. I get into KeyChain Access to see what possible passwords are associated to them.... nothing remotely like i would use.

So this is quite crazy and I'm just not sure what to do....
