MacBook can't find mouse after Big Sur 11.5 update

I just updated to Big Sur 11.5 and now my Macbook Pro can't find my mouse. It's connected with a USB cable and adapter and had been working fine earlier today. I've restarted my machine and unplugged and replugged in the mouse, changed the port, etc. Any other ideas?
