Hi,
About AirPrint - Apple Support
A Canon MG3620 is mentioned in this article as a model supporting the driverless AirPrint technology. An AirPrint-enabled printer is compatible with macOS, and does not require the installation of drivers (providing that the printer and the computer are connected to the same network). See the following guide (for similar models) for details about how to print and scan via AirPrint: https://www.canon-europe.com/support/consumer_products/apple_airprint_guide/
If, however, you have been using an ICA Driver Ver.4.1.3a (Mac) for scanning:
Select macOS Big Sur v11.0 -> click on ICA Driver Ver.4.1.3a (Mac) -> - Driver/Software Details -> scroll -> please note Caution (especially item 6).
Add a printer on Mac - Apple Support
Reset the Mac printing system to solve a problem - Apple Support

Hi,
Are you using a network connection, or USB? Please have another look at Caution under - Driver/Software Details (above). As I read this (item 6), only AirPrint is supposed to be used in case of a network connection, not the ICA driver in question.
The print function works fine, it's the scan function that will not work. The software downloads run all of the way and then I get a dialogue that states that the download failed. When attempting to scan I get a you do not have permission to open the application “Canon IJScanner15f”. Then a failed to open connection to device. This is after downloading the ICA Driver mentioned above.
Have you tried scanning with the built-in Image Capture.app?
