In Find My, I can see my daughter’s location, but not her device in the device list.

I wanted to check as many adults use their Apple ID for their children. If she is in Dad's Family Share, where does that put you? While the two of you would be able to share location similar to what Find My Friends used to be, that is now listed as People. You should be able to see here there if she is sharing her location with you. You would only see the person listed under Devices if they are signed into the same Apple ID as you.
I guess my last question is if you and she are in the same Family Share? Otherwise you are going to have to explain this relationship a little clearer for me to provide any additional information. You mention daughter, then dad, then the phone bill, which has nothing to do with what you can share. Then I'm not sure what "sound option" you are referring to.

For Family Sharing, they appear in People, not Devices.
It’s a direct share thru settings, not the family option. Why can my friends see their kids? I’m so confused. Lol
We just wanted to take advantage of the sound option. Lol 🤷🏻♀️
I'm sorry, you came to the forum from a support document on sharing with the family, so that is why I responded the way I did. So, you are sharing location in Settings>Privacy>Location Services>Share My Location? Is she listed under Family or Friends? I'm guessing you are not sharing an Apple ID, not a good idea.
I’m not sure why we would want the same Apple ID? She mostly has her own accounts. She is on her dad’s phone bill & he added her to family.
So I guess the question is: Can you only see devices that are on the Family Share?
“You would only see the person listed under Devices if they are signed into the same Apple ID as you.”
This answers the question. Thanks
You're welcome.
