Font size changes at random in tables on Apple Notes app

Hello,

I am having trouble with font sizes when I use tables in the Apple Notes app.

When I create a new table, the text in the table uses the default 'System Font Regular 12.0'. But then the text in some cells in the table mysteriously changes to size 10.3 (I think still in the same font). As far as I can see, the only way to get it back to the original size is to select the text in each individual cell that has been affected separately and change the size back to 12, which is a bit of a pain in a large document with many different cells (if I select all the cells in the table, it doesn't allow me to change the font settings - I have to highlight the text in individual cells directly).

So, my question is:

(1) Is there a way of preventing notes from changing the text in random cells to a different size?

(2) If not, is there a way of getting all the font in a given table to go back to the default size rather than selecting the text in each cell individually?

Thanks

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Hi d_c_123,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you’re having trouble with font sizes when using the Notes app and we’re happy to help!

You can go to Notes > Preferences to change the Notes app Default text size. For additional information check out the Apple resource Change preferences in Notes on Mac.

If changing the Default text size doesn’t help, then we suggest you back up your Mac, and Update macOS on Mac. To learn how to back up your Mac visit the How to back up your Mac page.

Have a nice day.
