Could someone please tell me how to get the keyboard to come up with adding text you a photo. I get to the point where I have the text box on the photo and the various colored stools below but no way to type anything in that I can fine because the keyboard will not show up. I have an iPad 7.

To verify, are you using the Markup feature, or a specific app to add that text? Use Markup on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you are using the Markup feature, do you get the option to edit the text after tapping on the text box?
If not, does that continue after restarting your iPad? Restart your iPad
Additionally, is your iPad all up-to-date? Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
