iPad setting for left handed people

I saw this question posted before, and most of the answers were 'What's the problem? iPads rotate with you so you can orient it whatever way you want."

So to clarify, 10% of the population is left handed, and not everyone uses an iPad for the same things, so many users may not have a issues.

My issue is mostly when using the iPad and Pencil to take notes, as my hand is touching completely different parts of the screen than a right handed person. I am constantly accidentally hitting the "Done" or "Close Document" button with my left-orientated hand, whereas a right handed person's hand is going to be on the complete opposite side of the iPad.

This and a few other settings, find my iPad randomly closing documents, selecting everything and erasing it, making random other unwanted selections and executions. It's to the point where I am about to return the device and give up on using it for what I am needing, as it is a frustrating tool at this point.
