MacBOS X 10.9.5 iCloud - No Verification box

There is a problem with icloud:

1. Requested to open icloud preferences and enter my password to continue using icloud- done.

2.Received a verification code on my mobile which states I should re-enter my password and this code into my MacBookAir.

3.There is no pop up box on the MAcBookAir to enter my password followed by the code

Can someone tell me where I should enter the password and code

Thank you

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, Poocats.

If we understand your post correctly, you're trying to enter a verification code on your MacBook Air, which has macOS 10.9.5, and two-factor authentication needs OS X El Capitan or later. We’d like to help.

Follow the steps in this article:

Two-factor authentication for Apple ID

Scroll down to the section titled "What if I use two-factor authentication on a device running older software?"

Which says to "Then type your password followed by the six-digit verification code directly into the password field."

Let us know if that resolves this issue for you.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.
