Hi , Any tips to log in to apple tv to stream on a android tv as i am unable to login to stream shows on an android TV ( newbie here)
I have checked my apple ID and password via my MacBook air ( M1) all good,
Do I need to create a new ID for this access on the TV ( which is an app)

You should use the exact same Apple ID account as used on your Mac.
To sign in to the Apple TV app on third party hardware, go to the in-app Settings (sprockets wheel icon). Once signed in, the Apple TV app should then apply your subscriptions, and hold purchased iTunes Store titles in the app Library. It should be quite similar to using the Apple TV app on your Mac, when signed in (menu Account).

I tried it last night with the same login credentials on the android tv Apple tv app i.e. same Apple ID and password as my Macbook however still comes up as invalid password / Apple ID ?? I am wondering if Android TVs that the apple TV app i downloaded is not compatible i.e. Android TV to Apple ? most odd. I have a free subscription to apple tv which includes 6 subs for free.
That should work, though. If the issue persists, then contact Apple Support.
