Can’t delete 300-day-long period from Cycle Tracking

I just want to delete these entries from last year and earlier because they are screwing up my predictions (and they’re obviously bad data). But I can’t find ANY way to edit or delete these entries.

I tried the steps in this article (https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.imore.com/how-use-cycle-tracking-iphone-and-apple-watch-ultimate-guide%3Famp) but it did not remove the periods, just the symptom data.

This is kind of an obvious missing feature and if we can’t edit or remove inaccurate data, then what’s the point of using the app?

Hello sarahfelldown,

It looks like you may just be in the wrong section of the Health App to modify the Logged Days for cycle tracking. Keep in mind I am a cis-man so I cannot confirm this on my own device.

Also, the link you provided is not related to Apple and is also not an actual google site. The linked website contains 65 trackers which is concerning when you consider how private women's health information is.

If cycle data works the same as other data this should allow you to delete the erroneous days. Open the Health App > Select your profile from the top right > Apps (Under Privacy) > Health > Cycle Tracking. Then you will see logged days and can select Edit from the top right to remove days. You may need to repeat this for the research study section in your profile if you participate in the Apple Women's Health Study.

I hope this helps,

Thanks. Don't know why that google stuff was appended on the front of that URL. Was supposed to link to an iMore article. https://www.imore.com/how-use-cycle-tracking-iphone-and-apple-watch-ultimate-guide

I followed your steps but didn't see logged days. I see Menstration. I deleted about 10 of the erroneous days, but that's all it showed me and hasn't refreshed. The 300-day-long period still remains. lol

I might just delete it all.

Something else I meant to mention that could be key. I was looking at what the different colors mean since I had never used or looked at how Cycle Tracking works. It is saying a red dot is a logged period day and that a purple dots indicate a day you logged information.

Since yours seems to show red dots with no purple dot did you happen to have a different app or device that you were using? I found this article that talks about the process I described. Maybe those days are coming from a different app or device listed in your profile? This makes me wonder if you need to delete data from the original app also. "You might also need to open the app and adjust its settings to allow it to share data with Health." Manage Health data on your iPhone, iPod touch, or Apple Watch - Apple Support

About the article, I obviously can't and shouldn't tell you what to do about your privacy so don't take this the wrong way. I just want to let you know the iMore domain is the one with all the trackers. That's not inherently good or bad just something I have opinions on lol. No offense intended.
