Hello, LIFFITON.
From the Brother website:
Macintosh macOS11 Big Sur - Compatibility - MFCJ470DW:
It does not appear that Brother have any intention of providing drivers and support.
You'll have to find alternate drivers or a workaround. Hopefully others here in the Community can provide useful assistance.

Hi,
The Brother MFC-J470DW is mentioned in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model supporting the driverless AirPrint technology, so you should be able to use it without having to install drivers (if the printer is connected to the same network as the computer). An AirPrint-enabled printer is compatible with macOS.
If necessary (for example, when using USB), you could perhaps try the macOS Catalina 10.15 printer driver (1.6.0). This may not work here, but we have seen that some other models have been successfully using a Catalina driver also under Big Sur. Look upon this as an experiment. Software conflicts cannot be ruled out during a test, so make sure that you have (multiple) backup copies of important files (documents, photos, et cetera).

It may be a good idea to reset the printing system between tests.

We recommend using AirPrint on macOS 11.
If your machine does not support AirPrint, download the Brother iPrint&Scan (*) app from the App Store.
