Screen flickering or dimming
My iPhone 12 Pro screen blacks out for a second in the middle and the screen randomly dims too… can this b resolved… I have done a full reset 2 times. Is this a hardware or software issue

So that we understand correctly, could you explain more about what you mean when you say that it blacks out in the middle? Is there a portion of the display in the middle that is affected? How large and what shape does it take? Does this happen in multiple different apps, or only in a specific app?
The display of your iPhone may dim automatically under two conditions. First, if the auto-brightness option is enabled, your iPhone will dim the display automatically based on ambient lighting conditions. Here's a guide with more information, and the steps to turn this feature off:

Even if this option is disabled, the display may dim automatically if your device gets too warm. This is expected, and may occur to preserve the internal components of your device. This guide has more information:
