Apple AirPods Pro causing bad ear irritaion

Is Apple doing ANYTHING about the common problem of customers experiencing ear irritation caused by the silicone used on Airpods Pro? I NEVER had this kind of allergic reaction with any other ear buds... fluid coming from outer ear, red rash, itching, scabbing, etc. Took me awhile to figure out the cause. I never use my AirPods Pro more than an hour at a time. I only figured it out after using in only one ear and only that ear got irritated! Prior, I went to doctor he gave me antibiotic and ointment to clear it up (and $117 bill). It only went away after I stopped using AirPod Pros. Then I did an Internet search and many posts came up about this problem. Purchased replacement tips from 3rd party and no more irritation. Total cost of AirPods Pro: $250 + $117 (Dr. bill) + $13 ( replacement tips) = $380.
