Just got a new iMac running IS 11.5.1. My old iMac is on OS 10.13.6. I can connect remotely, bluetooth, etc but cannot use the CD/DVD drive on the old machine from the new machine. Ponderous!

I just checked a Mac with Big Sur. Remote Disk is not there, but is on my other two Macs running Mojave. The built-in Help system on the Mac with Big Sur says this about Remote Disk and current operating systems:

Please restart each Mac in Safe Mode ( Safe Mode Reset ), then restart normally and then please follow the steps in https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/share-dvds-and-cds-on-mac-mh19569/mac
