Siri won't read my messages: you have to unlock your phone first. All my settings are on, what more can I do

Hello:) Try this:

1. Go to Settings, Face ID & Passcode.
2. Enter your passcode when prompted.
3. Scroll down to the section headed Allow Access when Locked.
4. Turn everything on, but especially Siri.

Neither of these solutions work. This is seriously impacting the ability to use the phone hands free. Does anyone have a proper solution please

Hi there

Siri requires you to enter your password to read notifications, if you have show notifications when unlocked on. Siri wont require a password when its set to always show notifications. Here’s how to change the setting. Go to notifications in settings. Then click show previews. From there if you want Siri to read notifications set it to always.

As of September 15th 2021, I am running 14.7.1 and I have followed all posted advised to enable Siri (everything is enable turned it off and on, restarted the phone) and I still get Siri won't read my messages: you have to unlock your phone first

Please advise, this is actually dangerous while driving.
