Siri won't read my messages. Siri says that I have to unlock my phone first. All my settings are on, what more can I do?

Hello:) Try this:


  1. Go to Settings, Face ID & Passcode.
  2. Enter your passcode when prompted.
  3. Scroll down to the section headed Allow Access when Locked.
  4. Turn everything on, but especially Siri.

Hi there


Siri requires you to enter your password to read notifications, if you have show notifications when unlocked on. Siri wont require a password when its set to always show notifications. Here’s how to change the setting. Go to notifications in settings. Then click show previews. From there if you want Siri to read notifications set it to always.
