Iphone 12 battery is draining way too fast, 25% in just 2 hours with normal use, however the battery health is 100%.

Hi harvvinder.

When you are streaming YouTube videos, are you connected to a known-good Wi-Fi network or are you using cellular data?

Lots of battery usage and the device getting warm when streaming is most often an indication of a weaker than would be ideal network signal.

If you have the ability to use only Wi-Fi for a day and then compare both the heat and the amount of power being used to the same activities when using cellular data, it would go a long way in isolating the root cause here.

Cheers.

harvvinder ~ Try resetting your Network Settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

The above was suggested by NCheok in this post:

Battery drain in iOS 14.7.1

...Another user in that thread wrote:"Performed the "Reset Network" that was suggested here and it seems to be holding MUCH better! Thank you!"

Hello harvvinder and welcome to Apple Support Communities. It appears you are having some difficulty with battery drain on your iPhone.

iPhone Battery and Performance

As a first step, check at Settings > Battery to see what app or apps are using the most power. Check those apps for an update. If there are no updates or if an update does not resolve the battery drain, consider deleting the apps and redownloading them from the App Store.

Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books

Cheers.

The battery issue is getting bigger. My iphone’s battery health just dropped to 99% today and the battery is draining during the sleep without even using. I was so scared of the battery health because it was getting hot while charge and while using, i knew something was wrong and now I’ve lost 1%. I’m just tired of it, the phone is just 5 months old.

Hi harvvinder.

Just so it's clear, battery health is expected to drop as the battery ages chemically. This is a normal thing for all lithium-ion batteries, not just those in iPhones. Every time the battery is charged, it loses a very small bit of its charge potential. The Battery Health stat is a way to quantify this. There is nothing you need to be concerned with until the reading gets below 80%.
