MacBook Pro 16" crashes when connected to external monitor

Have a new 16" MBP 2019 and this has happened 3 or 4 times in the first week. When connected to a HP monitor via USBC cable.

Machine has sudden burst from the fans, then restarts to kernel panic, restarts again and then seems fine. Sometimes happens when wake from sleep, other times about a minuet after wake.

I've seen another post here with similar issue, but no solution?

Sounds really bad, like broken bad. Before you try returning it, I would try two different montiors or TVs and maybe even a different dongle cord thing. If the condition continues, your best bet is to get a new one because its a hardware issue worse case.
