Overseas usage of an iphone 12 mini

I bought an iphone 12 mini from the Apple store in Singapore last December.

I recently moved to the US.

Only one SIM service provider here is able to give me a valid phone number while the other service providers confirm that my IMEI number is invalid.

Why do you think that is how can we resolve this issue ?

Hey there patricpaul,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities!

If we understand correctly, you're trying to use your iPhone purchased in Singapore with a US carrier. Is that correct?

You would want to check that your iPhone is not locked to a specific carrier. You can see this at Settings > General > About > Carrier Lock.

You should have iPhone 12 mini Model A2399 and can see the compatible networks: 5G and LTE. Find the iPhone that’s right for your country or region.

"Unlocked iPhone models may support 5G and/or LTE networks outside the country of purchase when using a valid SIM from a supported carrier. Contact your carrier for more details."

This should help. Take care!
