-The only check box there is show mirroring options on the menu bar

-Don't want to share mac screen to the Smart TV, juts the video

-Check Finder > Go > Go to folder > enter /System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras and there is no Displays_menu in there to try showing the airplay icon on menu bar

Hello miyalung,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. From your post, you want to show the AirPlay icon in the menu bar. We'll explain.

It will only appear when there are items to AirPlay to. So the checkbox you saw in System Preferences > Display would be the option to ensure the icon will appear when it detects an AirPlay-compatible device.

If the Mac isn't seeing any AirPlay device, try the steps here: If screen mirroring or streaming isn't working on your AirPlay-compatible device

Thanks and have a wonderful day.

Some videos cannot be AirPlayed. Some only offer the AirPlay icon from the full screen view. No idea why.

If it doesn't allow AirPlay, you may be able to use Screen Mirroring to show the video within the window. Once Screen Mirroring is enabled, you can switch it to separate displays.

You have to select screen mirroring from the control panel. The icon does not appear until you have an active connection to a device.
