frequency setting for syncing
my iPad doesn't;'t seem to be syncing with my iMac. I am specifically want my contacts to sync. Is there a setting for the frequency of sycing?

No there is none, instead go to settings on iPhone > contacts and check what default account says
then go to contacts app> click groups in top left and check which band is responsible for syncing contacts, for example outlook, exchange, gmail, or icloud
