Apple TV audio/video sync issues

I have the same issues on almost all my streaming apps recently. Hasn’t been a problem in the past. I’d say the issue started about 2 months ago. Restarting Apple TV fixes the issue temporarily. This thread leaves me to believe it’s not just my tv. I have an LG CX model and work in the AV industry. I’m hesitating recommending this to my clients as I will be dealing with service calls all the time.

Same here and started just recently like a lot of people are reporting. I have Paramount+ via Apple subscription and the movie I’m trying to watch has a soundtrack that’s way out of sync with the video, and restarting the device or force quitting TV app doesn’t help.

I am having the same issues with the NEW Apple TV. lagging after watching for a few minutes, however, may lagging occurs on YouTube TV and other apps. I have been a big supporter of Apple TV but if this lagging is not corrected I will have to change hardware, which is a lot since I have two homes. What is Apple doing to try and fix this problem?

My other LG Cox TV does not have this issue but I use a sonos sound at rather than the tv speakers. Maybe that makes a difference also but it shouldn’t matter. I will keep you all posted on what I discover through tech support.

Very disappointed with my new Macbook Air (2020 - intel chip) also. Got 16gb and highest rated processor and it under-performs my old 2012 Macbook Air. My old Apple TV was much more reliable also.

How are System76/Ubuntu laptops performing these days? I may even jump back over to a Windows system. Heck, I can buy a Windows laptop and a tablet PC for the price of my Air...Hmmm

Sorry to see this. I really liked my 6 other Apple computers. I guess all good things come to an end.

I have the exact same issue today is October 10, 2021. It’s been like this for about two weeks. I don’t even like watching it. If this keeps happening I’m going to switch to a more reliable device. I hope apple does something soon. I’ve never had issues like this before two weeks ago. I’m glad my tv has most of the same apps I use on Apple TV. Although some are not available. I hope a fix is found.

This is incredibly frustrating I am having this issue now. The audio doesn’t sync with our speakers. It’s been persistent all week. It’s not our internet or anything we’ve done everything Apple has said. Why do they make products to last for like 1 year? Has anyone discovered what the issue is ? And when it will be fixed ?

Just updated to 15.1 and Atmos sound problems still persist. First song I played on Apple Music with Atmos sound after update and the sound was cutting out every other second. Update didn’t fix anything.

Clearly an issue YouTube audio is way out of synch with Apple TV .Rented a movie from iTunes and it would not pause or back up . My extensive library of movies on my Apple device are slow to load. This will need to be fixed immediately.

I am watching my Apple Movie Library and Ted Lasso on a Amazon 4K Fire Stick. Because my Apple TV has huge issues. Instead of patting themselves on the back about their new laptops they should be making sure their software updates work before sending them out.

15.1 has not fixed the problem for me.

I have an Apple TV 4K and two HomePod Mini's in stereo set-up.

I have reset the Apple TV, reset the HomePod Mini's and used the Wireless Audio Sync tool across all channels and formats— but nothing works and the audio is still out of sync on Netflix and Apple+ etc.

Same here I have the Apple TV 4K latest edition and two full size Home pods, including a back catalogue of over 800 films in Apple store I cannot watch! Please help Apple 🍏 please comment on this today.

Just had serious audio lag on last gen 4K Tv and Apple TV+ listening to a movie via BT headphones. Not ideal at all

will upgrade to 15.1 now hoping that will resolve it. I’m glad I bought an Nvidia shield lately.

I absolutely experience something similar with my Apple TV 4K. When watching some shows on some apps (being vague as it seems not specific to just one) after 2-3 minutes the audio with repeat about 4 seconds, but the video continues play as normal, resulting in a 4 second sync issue. I have updated os, tried auto and specific video and audio settings without eliminating the problem. I expect this to be reported as a repeatable and diverse user issue.
