Microphone button is blacked out for talk to text after update. How do I fix? Checked and seen if siri is enabled and it is. Restarted and still unable to touch it.
Discovered this solution accidentally as well during the last of 2 unhelpful and lengthy calls to support. Like you said, just swipe up from the bottom and tap Scribble and everything returns to normal. I have to do this with EVERY conversation thread though, and there's no guarantee the settings will stick. Support couldn't even tell me if this was a bug or a new feature. I never had this problem before updating.

I need help. Did update for watch and the voice to text button is gone. I’ve tried some of the suggestions on here. But none of the options are there. I want my watch back before update! Please help!
Same! Mine went through the update last night and now the microphone is gone and there’s no way to answer texts now.

i found it … if you touch the “ reply “ area.. the microphone shows at bottom of screen👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

No microphone at all on reply screen. Just got Apple Watch in Oct ‘21, talk to text worked initially. Did update, now it’s gone. PITA Apple.
THANK YOU!!! But WHY ON EARTH did they make it more difficult to use one of the best features?! The next update needs to fix this and put the microphone back!!!!!!
This was no help at all. We don't have the microphone on the bottom right to touch. I am also missing the write keyboard as well. Jan 2022
