Compromised iPhone

The thing is… I have fallen in a fraudulent site. Emergent sites started to appear (even when is blocked with an option, first “don’t know why”) and Apple Music app opened like another pop-up too (what made me mad a lot 😡). Then Safari stopped to open me sites that needed passwords or user & pass so I saw Safari comes with the phone and I restarted from configuration to try (just to not do the hardest about factory restore) and worked. Safari normal but emojis in keyboard no. I didn’t care and I continued using my phone (with new code, by the way). Then, a strange reaction on the phone after tap an advice of “confirm the code of your iPhone to keep using iCloud” but when I clicked it the screen made something strange so I restarted from configuration again, kept the “new code” and again, the advice. I ignored it, I create a new code, the advice disappeared (me happy 😃) and I used the 2d time new code all day long without problems until: “error”, “error”, “error” (with the code)… disabled iPhone ❌ and now yes, the hardest of factory restore. To install the iCloud backup it asked me, as always: password, a new code and the “anterior” code. But… is not a matter of forget, the last code was like stop to be recognized. I had the worst night, I almost couldn’t sleep, I needed to use my phone with urgency next day early and I couldn’t… I have to change all my plans, allocate money (I hadn’t on mind), and now a new advice on the iPhone: “Some services wont be availables until you sign up again”. Ok. I tap, it asks me my password, my code and AGAIN the code “unknown” anterior (and the option of “code forgotten”). If I tap it, comes the worst part: in the absence of another iCloud device, the other option is to “Restore encrypted data”. And if I tap there, the advice is “It will be deleted permanently the end to end encrypted data in iCloud as iCloud messages, passwords and other confidential information”.

I was maybe “hacked” (as somebody of supposed “Apple Support oficial call” told me), I had to pay and now click for accept to lose my things? No way.

Please, somebody can tell me what happens if I just decide to leave that advice just there as it is? Or could a new configuration reset (after the factory I had to do) help to forget that unknown code? I don’t want another disabling for access to my phone.

There have to be a way. Apple could corroborate I am the same person and I suffered this. Backups are everything and I want my iPhone just the same way it was before the attack on Safari. As my first question of the beginning, don’t know why if is enabled the option to block pop-ups they open anyway and I won’t accept to lose my information.

Thank you! Have a nice day!

Keep the iPhone updated to the latest iOS always and never Jailbreak. That's it.

iOS / iPadOS devices cannot be hacked or infected with Virus / Malware / Spyware if it is updated to the latest iOS/iPadOS unless you have intentionally downloaded spurious software or unauthorized apps directly from the internet and installed on your device or/and have Jail Broken.

It (Hacking) also depends on how careful are you in sharing sensitive and valuable information pertaining to your iPhone such as Passcode, Password etc with your friends and family members.

Be careful when sharing the device's sensitive and valuable information with friends and family members.

Thumb Rules:

  1. Enable  Guided Access before handing over an iPhone to kids
  2. Don't share Apple IDs
  3. Don't Jail Break
  4. Don't share sensitive information pertaining to your device and payment methods
  5. Beware of Phishing
