Emergency Alerts

I have everything turned on for emergency alerts yet I am not receiving them while my husband and daughter are. I’ve tried turning them off and rebooting the phone, then turning them back on. There is a fire in our county and my husband is getting evacuation notices for residents near there, but all I’ve gotten are air quality notices for the county north of here. Is it a location setting thing?
