MacBook Pro 2019, Big Sur 11.5.1 not connecting properly to Asus ProArt PA27AC monitor.

The monitor connects to the MacPro, but the monitor's display is blurry and I can't adjust the monitors settings for brightness, etc. The monitor has a Thunderbolt connection, and I'm connecting my MacPro using Apple's thunderbolt cable. I've downloaded the latest Driver & Utility from Asus, worked with Asus Tech Support, and I've been waiting 4 days as of now for an Asus Engineer to get back to me. I've also worked with Apple Tech Support.

Yesterday randomly, the monitor connected properly and the display was clear and I could adjust the monitors brightness settings, etc for about 1 hour. And then just as randomly, it stopped connecting properly and the display has been blurry since.

Before I had used my MacAir 2011, High Sierra with the PA27AC using a Mini Display Port (Thunderbolt 1) cable to the monitors Display Port connection, and the connection was clear and I could adjust the monitors settings.

Issued solved. Turns out it was as simple as going into System Preferences/ Displays. Then in the PA27AC display box unchecking the HDR option.

Try a different/new cable and compare your results...

Also, when I click on the downloaded monitor utility (Asus ProArt Calibration Software), I get the error message: "Display resolution is to low, please set to 1920 x 1080 at least." However, the monitor is set to it's default resolution of 2560 x 1440. And when I manually go in and select the 2560 x 1440 resolution, I get the same error message.

I tried the Thunderbolt cable that came with the PA27AC, a Thunderbolt cable I bought from Apple, and an Ivanky Thunderbolt/display port cable. I choose the Ivanky brand as that's the cable I used to connect my old MacBook Air 2011 to the PA27AC with no problems [with a mini display port (Thunderbolt 1)/display port cable]. With all the cables the monitor is still blurry and I can't adjust the monitors brightness, etc controls.
