Is my phone battery covered for replacement if it lifts the screen from the back of phone on left side?
Geek squad at best buy said it could explode and not to have it replaced. They suggested only option was to buy a new phone...but my phone works, and the battery was operating like normal.

If you are within your one year warranty, or two years if you purchased AppleCare +, it would be covered. If not you will have to purchase an out-of-warranty replacement iPhone, Apple will not put a battery in a phone which has had frame damage.
