Unable to download updates for some applications in the appstore.

Iphone xs ios 12.3.1. After a few days I unable to download updates for some applications in the app store. The update is downloading. After that the installation just cancelling and in the list of updates I see the button “Update” near the application.


Ways to solve the problem, taken by me:

  • reboot device;
  • hard reboot device;
  • logout/login in the appleid in the appstore settings;
  • trying to download via cellular;
  • I tried to delete and reinstall one of this unupdatable apps. And I can’t download it from appstore again. The same problem.
  • checked the date and time settings and put it on auto.

Nothing helps. On Ukrainian page of device support I can choose the time to get call from the apple technical support, but after that becomes an error and nothing else. Please don’t tell me to update to ios 14. I don’t want it by different reasons.

Doing so would provide you the latest feature and security updates as well as defect repairs.


Further, applications mature and become unsupported on antiquated iOS versions.
