Black-Edge on External Monitor - Connected Using HDMI with 2020 Macbook Pro

My External Monitor is the LG Monitor 21.5'' 22MK600M-B. Connected to the Macbook Pro using a dongle & HDMI cable. I was having some problems with the external monitor having a black edge around it. The resolution of the monitor is 1920x1080.

External Monitor crashing MacBook Pro My LG 27" (27UK850)external monitor seems to cause a "panic" and crashes my Mac. It's happening daily at this point. Has anyone been having the same issue? Is there anything we can do to prevent this?

Black bezels on external monitor Hi I just bought a Dell P2720DC monitor for my Macbook Pro 13'' 2018 with touch bar. It's a QHD (2560x1440) monitor with USB-c connection. When I connect the mac to the monitor, via USB-C, the picture shows up with some quite large bezels around it (on the monitor). I know it could sound like a problem with the monitor, but whenever I connect my sisters Macbook Air 2019 or a Macbook Pro 13'' 2019 (without touch bar) it works perfectly well, and the monitor is "filled out" completely. I've checked the setting and can't seem to find the problem. Hopefully some of you guys can. Appreciate it. /Christian

when you select [√] Mirror displays, the built-in display and the external display are both set to a compromise resolution that both can attain. If you look closely, the Blue display Icon is doubled.

Uncheck that box and you should then be able to set your external display to its native resolution.
