iCloud password for Windows not working in Chrome or Edge

I have the latest version installed from the Microsoft Store (v.12.5).

Everything is checked in the iCloud Setting. iCloud Drive, Photos, Bookmark and Password.

The extension for Chrome and Edge are installed.

iCloud drive seems to work fine. The photos and the bookmarks also.

But the problems is with the Passswords:

When I go on a site where I need to login, I click on the little cloud icon in my browser. But I have a message: "Enable Passwords in iCloud for Windows to use iCloud Passwords withEdge"


But it is enabled!

I tried to remove the extension, put it back, restart, sign-out and in from iCloud, etc...

No success...


I am running Windows 10 Pro 64bit (version: 20H2, build: 19042.1165, Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3530.0 )


All the latest versions of browsers and plugin.

I follow the suggestion.

Sign-out, un-install, install....


Same result.

But I just found that there is an "iCloud Passwords" app installed.

The app is working fine. I have access to all my passwords.

But the browsers extensions are still broken.


And please, don't ask me to reach Microsoft support because you app is broken!

It would be our recommendation to uninstall iCloud for Windows following the steps here: Sign out of or uninstall iCloud for Windows. Then, reinstall a fresh copy of iCloud for Windows: Download iCloud for Windows.
