Video transfer

I have a Sony digital tape video camera and am having trouble converting video to an MP4 file. I had no trouble doing this with my older Mac using Quicktime. Now that I have a new Mac with a thunderbolt connection i can't get the computer to recognize my camera. with my older mac I could then transfer the MP4 file to my Wondershare video editor. I have all there proper thunderbolt adapters and cable,

iMac, OS X 10.11

Yes. Please remove any information that you consider personal, before you do. Also, there is a 2MB limit per image.


What is the year/model of your new Mac (do not post the serial number)? You can see it in About this Mac.

Also, since you have posted this query in the Bootcamp forum, is the issue on the macOS side, or Windows running on an Intel Mac via Bootcamp?
