Macbook 2018 Logic Board Failure

I purchased my Macbook Pro 13in. in 2018, and spent $2300. I've used it minimally since purchase mainly to surf the web, some word documents etc. nothing to heavy. Last week 8/16/21 my laptop spontaneously stopped working, screen is black and it will not turn on. Took it to Apple and they say it's the logic board and it'll be $600 to fix? The lifespan for a logic board is 2 years? Seems convenient to happen right after the manufacturer warrenty expires. I expect better from Apple products but I will not be purchasing any more products if this is the standard. Hopefully Apple will stand by their product and provide a complimentary or reduced cost fix for this because this is unacceptable.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.14
