Batter capacity

Hi I recently just got an unopened brand new iPhone XS 256gb space grey. In less than two weeks my batter capacity went from 100% to 99%. Why can I do to prevent it going down like this? Please help

If you got a brand new iPhone XS phone, while it may have been unopened, it was also made some time ago. Apple stopped selling iPhone XS in 2019. The moment the battery was installed in the phone, it began its slow decline till the time comes to replace the battery when it dips to 80% or less.

One can expect in the best of times an iPhone battery will lose anywhere from 1 - 2% battery health per month. And with every full cycle charge, your Battery Health will decline little by little. That's what batteries do. ALL BATTERIES.

  • Make sure you go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health and turn on Optimized Charging.
  • Plug your phone in to charge at night when you go to bed and leave it plugged in all night
  • Never let the battery fully deplete or even go below 20% if you can
  • Read this link --> https://www.apple.com/batteries/maximizing-performance/
