Shazam In Control Center Doesn’t Sync to App

I found a solution if we can say that.

You have to do it manually to every song that shazam recognized through control centre.

In Control Centre long press shazams music recognition -> History will appear -> click song, it will open up shazam with the song -> Top left corner press the three dots -> Add to My Music. -> Repeat with all songs that appear in history :)

If someone has an update or another solution please do write it down.

I’m having the same issue. Apple Team, we are all just asking if you can have Shazam on control center synced with the actual Shazam app so we can have the song automatically added to our preferred music platform. This is a sync issue, nothing more or less here

i only found out that if u long press in control centre on the music recognition a history will appear, but it still doesnt sync, so its clearly a sync issue, you can use it, then go to history and mamually search for everything

I started using the built-in Shazam shortcut yesterday to save space on my home screen, but immediately noticed the songs weren't going to my Shazam playlist. I hope this is fixed soon. It makes the built-in shortcut 100% useless.

I have the same problem.

Whatever I Shazam via Control Center, (Music Recognition) is being recognized well, but not added to my Shazam history.

I’ve had this problem for months / several iOS/iPadOS releases, incl. 15.

Same problem and no fix yet. It's really annoying. This makes the control centre Shazam shortcut as good as useless..

I have this same issue. If I use quick song recognizing button from the control panel then it doesn’t work but if I open the Shazam app and start recognizing the song, after is completed it syncs new added song straight to Spotify.

Strange as it was all working fine some time ago…

Hi thanks for this same issue here. is it that Apple has made an oversight where the internal iOS music recognition powered by Shazam is not syncing the music to Spotify or at pls music but accessing via the 3rd party original Shazam app does sync to Spotify or Apple Music as you choose?

Same issue. Very irritating. Total disconnect between the Control Panel toggle and the Shazam app. If you long press on the toggle, it's history appears but it is not included in Shazam My Music. We do not need 2 databases. Shazam connections to other music services, Spotify etc., is irrelevant.

Still same issue here, both in iPad and iPhone, very frustrating 😕 I have a ton of songs in the toggle Shazam but they don’t sync with the main app (but they do between the iPhone and iPad toggle…very useful)

I had the same issue (especially now CarPlay is silenced from the core Shazam app) and am grateful for this workaround. The turned it into an iOS shortcut. Action is Shazam It, then Open URL with x-callback and choose the Shazam URL (which can be buggy in itself, might try title first and then Shazam URL)... I now have a shortcut called Shazam that adds the song to the core app (which then syncs to Spotify ;)

And I now tested it again and it did not get added to the My Music list.. perhaps someone knows how to fix that?

Another workaround is to ditch the Control Center shortcut and use the original Shazam app instead.

It still has the ability to sync with Spotify. Just put it on one of your home screens.

I for one had no idea there was no feature parity between the two, and have been at a loss for half a year as to why it wouldn’t sync like the app always did.

The same feature works for android

So the app developed by Apple works on android but not on Apple

Apple should do something, it’s a highly used app, imagine how much you’ll make out of this one feature, if it is configured as per original design
