- When you subscribe to an Apple TV app Channel, then the source content provider doesn’t know anything about you. It is between you and Apple. The subscription is valid only in the Apple TV app.
- When you subscribe in-app to a content provider service in their own app on an Apple device, then the content provider doesn’t know anything about you, except a semi-anonymous subscriber-ID provided by Apple. It is for use on Apple devices only in the separate content provider app (not the Apple TV app).
- When you subscribe with a content provider directly, then you would have an account with them that they’d recognize, and that would be usable everywhere in the content provider app or on the web.
If you subscribed to the Apple TV app Channel Paramount+, then to use Paramount+ outside the Apple TV app, you first have to confirm your Channel subscription with Paramount+. Then you’ll be able to get a complimentary Paramount+ account for use outside the Apple TV app. Then you can use it either way as you want. Please visit www.paramountplus.com/apple and follow the instructions.
