How can I save archive an e-magazine issue or article from my iTunes subscription?

I enjoy the iTunes magazines selection but there are times I would like to save an article or issue for long-term purposes. I understand it is available in my library but if in the future I cancel my subscription it is my understanding the issue will be gone. Why is there not a way to save a magazine like you can save music on your desktop.

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities  dgoto,

Thank you for contacting us. You have come to the right place and we are happy to assist you. We understand you're inquiring about ways to save an article from an e-magazine. We can understand why you’d reach out for a solution. To start, make sure you have the most current operating system on your device. (Settings > General > Software Update) Have you tried the share option from this article: Read magazines with Apple News+ "Follow magazines". When clicking the share button, it gives you many options to share, follow or copy. We don't see an option to share an entire edition, just articles.

Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities.

Best regards.

Thank you for the reply. But my concern relates to a magazine subscription I have had for maybe 6 years via Itunes Maximum PC

which I can only view via an Apple app ‎Maximum PC en App Store (apple.com). from within the App I have maybe 50 back issues of this magazine which I can access. But my concern is I would like to retain/archive them to save for reference. I have contacted the publisher and they told me to contact Itunes. Why is there not a way I can save these magazines to prevent loss if the magazine should stop publishing or if Itunes drops the app or subscription? Again Thank you for researching this for me

Thanks again, As I said in my earlier email I have already contacted the publisher and they have told me to contact Apple

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your email regarding MaximumPC Magazine

Please note, if you bought the subscription directly from iTunes, you’ll need to get in touch with them directly.

Here’s the link to do so: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4098

As I have said already I contacted PLC first and they told me the exact opposite because I have bought the subscription via Itunes you are the source for this issue. I am not sure what Spanish has to do with anything??? So to get back to the core of the issue, who controls my access and the storage of the content?

Since most of the contact is months and even years old I am not sure why anyone should care if I want to save it long-term.

Thank you

dgoto,

Thank you for again getting back to us. The information in the app is in Spanish. Basically, you control the access and the storage of the content. We would suggest sharing to an external hard drive for things you want to keep long term. In theory, it would be like ripping the page out of the paper issue and putting in a scrap book. Apple doesn't control the content, just supplies the store to purchase, and submits the funds to the parent company.

dgoto,

Thank you for your reply back. We have located the app you posted and the Retailer is Future Publishing Ltd. That is not a subscription that is offered under our News & Magazine Subscription, but is billed through your iTunes or Apple ID account. Additionally, we found this information for their contact information: "For further assistance, please email help@magazinesdirect.com or telephone +44(0)330 333 1113 to speak to one of the Customer Care team. Lines are open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (GMT). You can also browse Magazine Direct’s FAQs at https://www.magazinesdirect.com/corporate/faq/." Although they are listed in the Apple App Store and billed through Apple, Apple is not affiliated with the company.

We hope this better answers your question.

Cheers.
