During a call, when I bring my phone down the screen fails to wake up. I need to click the volume buttons or the power button. This is an issue noticed across multiple devices in my family.

Hello pragnyaallu,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's our understanding that your iPhone screen isn't responding as expected during phone calls. We're happy to help.

If you haven't already, try restarting your iPhone. This step can resolve many unexpected behaviors. Restart your iPhone

Also, make sure that your iPhone has the latest software.

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue persists, remove any case or screen protector and test the issue again. Let us know the results. Please include any other troubleshooting steps that you may have tried.

Have a great day!

Hey JovonaP,

I have tried restarting the phone multiple times and the iPhone 11 is currently running on 14.7.1 version.

I had initially assumed it was screen protector issue as well and have removed and checked. But the issues persists.

This issue only happens during calls.

I haven't tried other trouble shooting steps. Let me know if there are any.

Thank you!
