Hacked/Ruined Contacts File: MAC OS BIG SUR 11.5.2 Desktop

My system was hacked about 1 1/2 years ago, and my Contacts file containing 80 contacts was ruined.

At the time, my time machine was not working properly, so I could not restore. On March 11,2021 I replaced my bad time machine backup with a 4TB "My Book", which does not contain my Contacts file from that far back. Is there a way I can replace the Contacts file with a new one, which will let me set up "My Card" and start over, and manually re-enter my 80 contacts? Thanks.

Thank you Barney 15-E. Per the advice of Mal-S, I have deleted all entries on my Contacts file and am left with an empty file.

I do not have a "My card" to enter (did not have one before; must have been deleted by the hacker). Per your advice, I opened the Contacts file (now empty), and it has not already started over; there is no "My Card". Thanks for trying.

Add A Contact.

Click the + Button.

Or, Use the New Card command from the File menu.

Add your information to that new card, then once done editing, select Make this My Card from the Card menu.

Does your contacts have any entries in it (corrupt or not) if yes then this link may work.

Just open Contacts. It has already started over.

Go to the "My Card" card and edit it.

Thank you Mal-S. I have successfully deleted the 46 weird contacts in my file and it is now empty. I still do not know how to begin a new file, and I have no way I can see to create "My Card".

Add a contact, but in your Information, and then select Make this My Card from the Card menu.

THANKS, Barney 15-E. There must still be some bugs in my Contacts file, because it works kind of funky, but IT WORKS.
