Apple Watch 5 not charging

I have tried the suggestion solutions. I am running 7.6 as most recent software. The watch has been run down to “dead”, unpaired, re-paired, and sitting on the charging doc for over 24 hours. The red lightening bolt shows up when initially placed on the charger, then asks for the password, then goes blank. It intermittently displays the Apple but never have I seen the “snake”. In the end it only shows 1% charged. Is there another fix that I haven’t tried?

We understand that your Apple Watch will power on the Apple Watch Basics screen but is not charging beyond 1% and you reviewed information about Power Reserve from If your Apple Watch Series 5 or Apple Watch SE is in Power Reserve and won’t charge.

If you’ve taken the steps in If your Apple Watch won't charge or it won't turn on already, then under the ‘Learn more’ section the next thing to do is reach out to Apple Support for assistance. Using the link there will be the most direct route to get in touch with someone.

Thank you for the feedback. I have already reached out to Apple support and have set up an appointment at the Genius Bar.
