How is this not currently added to the widgets selection? It was there before?
because widgets are no longer interactive. what i did so i could have a calculator readily available, you can open your applications folder then drag and drop the calculator app to your dock.

They could bring it back, but you wouldn't be able to do anything with it besides look at the result you generated on the Calculator app. Widgets are not interactive. You cannot send them any input.

apple doesn't live on memory lane. there's no guarantee that what is here today will be there tomorrow. sometimes functionality get removed to make way for a better overall macOS. sorry, that's just how it's been for at least a decade. (and probably longer)
