Silence when iPhone is locked

Everything was fine and then one day poof I’m not getting my phone calls or texts messages. I go to support to find out how to fix this issue and did EVERYTHING recommend, and still can’t fix this issue.

To help us get a better understanding of the issue, we’d like to ask a few questions.

Is Silent mode enabled? How to put your iPhone on vibrate, ring, or silent mode
Is this happening with all calls and messages, or is it occurring only with specific contacts?
Is Do Not Disturb turned on? If so, is it set to silence calls and notifications only when the device is locked? The "Change your settings" part of the following page outlines how to check: Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
