Can't restore from Time Capsule in Recovery Mode

Hello, so as the title says I cannot restore from a backup on my Time Capsule when in recovery mode. When in macOS I can make backups and enter time machine to manually restore files...although slowly, as is the nature of the Time Capsule. But when I boot into recovery mode, if you select the Time Capsule .....I get an error that says "Can't connect to Time Capsule" and it asks me to check the IP and ect. None of those are configured incorrectly. My Time Capsule is in bridge mode and is nothing more than a network switch with a network attached drive.

So what gives? Is it Big Sur? I have 11.5.2. Is it that the Time Capsule is not being supported anymore?

Is it Big Sur?

Yes. The world changed with Big Sur. You will need to erase the Mac's hard drive, then reinstall the Big Sur operating system. Once that is done, use Migration Assistant on the Mac to move data from a Time Machine backup over to the Mac.

No. Time Capsule 802.11ac is currently supported and will be supported until April 2025.
