How many backups does iCloud save for iPhone 11?

I accidently deleted an imessage thread.

is there any way to restore them? i looked at the backups but it only list one in the phone,

i need to go back to previous back ups.

icloud backup did retore deleted imessages Today at 4pm I was on my iphone 11 chatting and somehow with my check I deleted all of my imessages except for 2. I looked and icloud said there was a backup done this morning. I hooked up to my computer at work because my battery was low. I reset my iphone and then used the icloud backup. My imessages did not come back. I have lots of data space left on icloud. Any suggestions. thanks Karen

I do not see a backup for my iphone 7+ messages on my icloud account. photos and contacts are there. I know they comprise part of the memory bar on the iphone icloud tab. please advise I do not see a backup for my iphone 7+messages on my icloud website. photos and other folders are there. where can I find messages ?

A backup is exactly that - to recover data in the event of a catastrophe.

You are seeking an archive of backups. They don’t exist. There is no history of backups.

iCloud only maintains one incremental backup.
