problem with pdf files opening when attached to emails

When i create a text file using WORD for Mac - and save it as a pdf file, it opens inside the email, when i attach the pdf doc?

I've tried PRINT-SAVE AS PDF. and Export as pdf, yet the documents always open inside the email?

I don't have this problem with PAGES, but I prefer using WORD to create text files.

Any suggestions or advice will be welcomed.

A single-page .pdf file, when attached to a Mail email message, will initially be displayed within the body of the email. You can use the step I suggested above to calm that.

A multi-page .pdf file will not display like that. Instead, it will be viewed as an icon as you would prefer.

There is a workaround. When you are composing documents that you know you will be attaching to email messages and you find yourself ending with a single page, just add a page break at the bottom of the doc. This forces a second page and a multi-page pdf when the document is converted or saved.
