Can’t unhide hidden apps on an iPhone?

the tutorial says that you can’t unhide hidden apps on an iPhone, only on a Mac. I don’t know how, but I managed to unhide about one hundred apps that had been in hiding on my iPhone and I don’t own a Mac or PC.

I was just messing around, trying to figure out how all those apps got hidden in the first place (I would certainly remember swiping left and clicking the red “Hide” button - I never had done that). I redownloaded every single one and then deleted them one by one. They initially reappeared as hidden, but a couple of days later, zero hidden apps and they all were back in just regular old “Purchased” Now everything shows up in purchased apps.

Now, how is that possible? That is my question for you all. How?

Caches Getting in the Way:

Clear "Other":

As for the iPhone doing this itself, clear the storage named "Other". It basically contains unnecessary files such as caches that are used for system ease of use - all of which gather over time: How to Clear "Other" in your iPhone's Storage - Use Backup - User Tips. Caches would be being used for remembrance of application use. So, clearing other may be the way to go about this, as it would be performs through use of a computer.

Unhiding this:

Your only options, when it comes to not using a computer, is to either get access to a computer, to select to purchase it once more. If already purchased, then it would tell you, and it would become unhidden once more.

I don’t think you understand. I DID HAVE close to one hundred apps that I had “purchased” (most were free or free trials-I am cheap) that, when I deleted them from my App Library, showed up in “Hidden Purchases”, even though I never hid them myself.

I just learned how to hide apps a few weeks ago and I never, myself, swiped left to reveal the red “Hide” button, let alone actually press it. So there were all these apps hidden from Me essentially. It ticked me off that my phone had this bug and then learned that they can’t be “unhidden” on the iPhone; only on Macs, which I don’t have.

So I re-downloaded them directly from the Hidden app page by tapping the little cloud icon and had every one back on my iPhone 11. Then I deleted them all one by one and every other third party app I had and almost all of the original Apple apps. So my App Library was empty except for the Apps that you can’t delete.

I then checked the “Hidden Purchases” page and they were all back - hidden again BUT… when I checked again the next day, maybe after an Automatic Backup, I don’t know, the Hidden app page was blank and said “You have no purchased apps” and the arrow icon with the curly tail. And all of the previously hidden apps now show up on my regular “Purchased” pages.

I must be magical - or my system has bugs or worse. It has many strange behaviors unfitting of an Apple iPhone. I think it’s a fraudster pwned by the devil! Joke? - not really.
