Watch Podcast App ongoing Bug

There’s a bug in the Podcast app for Watch that repeatedly displays “Your Device Is Not Connected To The Internet.” While exercising (away from iPhone and wireless) and listening to a podcast the app repeatedly generates the above alert.


This is a bug. 1) The user doesn’t need to be notified that they are not connected to the internet b/c the app allows podcasts to be downloaded to the Watch for offline use. 2) Any app should not repeat an alert endlessly that has not been first cleared by the user. In order for the user to regain focus to the app they have to click through several of the same alerts. While clicking through the alerts new alerts with the same notice start to popup. 3) The app is behaving just like the old MS Windows alerts that you’d have to click through endlessly to return focus to the OS. 4) Once and alert is displayed, but not yet cleared by the user, there is no reason to for an event to fire that displays the same alert.


All of my devices are up to date. There are many other users complaining of the same bug. We pay a premium for Apple products and expect them to work or issues to be addressed. This issue was reported as early as Spring 2021 and it still exists.
