I have an old Mac book pro .... Big Sur. How do I back up to a previous page when on Safari?

Right-click near the top of the viewed browser window and select Back from the pop-up menu, or simply use the ⌘+[ keystroke. The Safari toolbar has a back arrow on it that takes you to the previous page. You can also press and hold on this < back button and then select a previously viewed page from the list.
