iphone back up

My iPhone SE 1st gen seems to have finally bitten the dust. It crashed when battery was low (at about 17%), and now it won't charge or turn back on. I tried pressing the Top and Home Buttons at the same time like the advice here: https://support.apple.com/en-ph/HT201569, but still nothing.

Anyway, I've been planning on getting it replaced for some time now. I just want to know two thing now:

  1. Where can I check the last back-up I did? I'm pretty sure I did a back-up to iCloud recently, I just can't recall how long ago that was. Was it last week or last month.
  2. Can Apple Support extract the data from a dead iPhone? I'm in the Philippines is that's any help.

iPhone SE, iOS 14

Hello DreiDumaguet,

Thank you for taking the time to post your questions to Apple Support Communities! We understand that your iPhone SE is no longer powering on, and that you're looking for options to confirm when the device was last backed up, along with possible data recovery options.

While Apple doesn't offer iPhone data recovery options outside of iCloud or iTunes backups, there are some third-party companies that specialize in this. Using these services would be at your discretion.

The following article will walk you through options to locate backups for your device: Locate backups of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Let us know if you have additional questions.

Cheers!

Thanks for the response and the information.

It turns out it had two factors that caused to make it look like my phone wasn't powering on anymore. I was plugged in to a defective extension cord (after the battery got drained forcing the iPhone to shut down), and the Power/Top button was no longer functioning. After a few hours of charging, the iPhone came back on by itself but the Top button still isn't responding. I have to press the Home button to wake the screen.

So now I have a different problem. Anyway, it's a 4 year old unit.
