Problem with Apple ID Verification Code

I have two Apple devices, an iPad and a MacBook. Recently, I recovered my OS. Now, it's in the OS X Yosemite (Version 10.10.5). I tried to reset my Apple Account password as well. Everything went well on my iPad, I was able to install a new application there earlier. However, when I tried to do it with my MacBook, the app installation required a two-way verification with my iPad. The verification code showed up on my iPad screen, but there was no option/field to input the verification code to my MacBook. Hence, I couldn't install the application.

I'd like to ask if any of you have encountered similar problem, what should I do?

MacBook, OS X 10.10

Two-step verification for Apple ID - https://support.apple.com/HT204152

Read the section about "How do I sign in to my account using an app that doesn't support entering two-step verification codes?"
